This Privacy Policy explains how LOB ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and the LOB tennis coach and gear advisor (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

LOB is an independent tennis advisor that combines product specs, community opinions, pro-player setups and coaching knowledge to give personalized recommendations. We are the data controller for the personal data processed through the Service.

• Conversations. Messages you send to the AI advisor, plus context such as the selected category, filters and the product page you came from.
• Account & contact data. If you sign up or contact us, we store your email address, name, and the content of your message.
• Usage data. Anonymous identifiers, pages viewed, clicks on outbound product links, approximate session timing, user agent and referrer.
• Technical data. Device, browser and rough location inferred from your IP address (for security and analytics — we do not store your full IP long-term).

3. How we use your data

• To run the AI advisor and deliver answers grounded in our knowledge base.
• To improve recommendation quality, debug issues and prevent abuse.
• To measure which products and content are useful (aggregated analytics).

5. AI processing

To generate answers, your message and the relevant retrieved context may be sent to third-party AI model providers (e.g. Google, OpenAI) through a managed gateway. We do not allow these providers to use your conversations to train their public models. Do not share sensitive personal, medical or financial information with the advisor.

6. Affiliate links

Some outbound product links are affiliate links. If you click them and complete a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We log click events (without identifying you personally) to attribute sales and improve recommendations. Affiliate relationships do not influence the LOB scoring or rankings.

7. Cookies & storage

We use a small number of cookies and browser storage entries that are strictly necessary to keep your chat session, preferences and login state. Analytics cookies, where used, are aggregated and do not identify you individually.

8. Sharing of data

We share data only with service providers acting on our behalf (hosting, database, AI model gateway, email delivery, analytics). They are bound by confidentiality and data-processing agreements. We never sell your personal data.

9. International transfers

Some providers operate outside the EU/EEA. When that happens, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards to protect your data.

10. Retention

Conversations and analytics are kept for as long as needed to operate and improve the Service, then anonymized or deleted. Contact submissions are kept while we handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards for record keeping.
